Rocky Point Road is the main arterial serving Sans Souci, threading through a predominantly residential foreshore suburb where beach-side parks and the Sans Souci waterfront precinct attract high recreational traffic on weekends and public holidays, compressing parking and access onto a limited local road network. Clareville Avenue and the streets connecting to Sans Souci Park require pedestrian management and occasional parking controls during community events at the waterfront reserve, where turning space for coaches and service vehicles is restricted. Utility maintenance works on Rocky Point Road must be scheduled to minimise impacts during peak recreational periods when the road is carrying well above its typical daily volume.
